The closest shopping centre to Quothquan is the town of Biggar.

Biggar is a busy market town on the A702 main road linking the M74 motorway to Edinburgh. It is frequented by the farming community in the winter joined by many holiday makers on their way to Edinburgh in the summer

It is possible to buy most of your supplies in Biggar as there is a good selection of shops including butchers, greengrocer, baker and a supermarket as well as pet supplies and an ironmongers.

The Calzeat factory in Symington has an outlet in Biggar High Street selling quality scarves and accessories.

You can purchase takeaway food from the bakers or the two fish and chip shops.

The Crown Inn provides excellent meals including a three course Sunday lunch.
